What stays on your Mac
Your agents, chats, files, memory, skills, keys and the apps your agents build are kept on your Mac. We never receive them. When an agent works, the app sends your prompts and the files it reads directly to the AI provider you chose (for example Anthropic or OpenAI), under your own account with them. Their privacy terms apply to that.
What reaches us, and why
- A code for this Mac: a one-way hash of its hardware ID, never the ID itself, with the day its trial started.
Why: One 30-day trial per Mac. Kept: as long as the trial date matters. - Your licence: the email address it was bought or redeemed with, and until when its updates run.
Why: To make and email your key. Kept: as bookkeeping law requires. - Your email address, when you sign in to Teams or publishing.
Why: To sign you in (a one-time link by email). Kept: while you have an account. - Team details: team names and members' email addresses.
Why: So the team works. Kept: until the team is deleted. - What you share with a team: skills (with their keys removed), Dashboard panels.
Why: So your team can use them. Kept: until you or the team owner removes them. - Artifacts: pages and files you publish to a link.
Why: To show them to whoever has the link. Kept: 90 days after the last update, or until you delete them. - Feedback you send from the app, and an optional contact address.
Why: To read it and answer you. Kept: until it's handled. - Update checks: once a day the app asks which version is newest, and sends its own version number.
Why: To offer updates, and to count how many copies run each version. Kept: as counts, without your identity. - Visits to this website.
Why: To count visits and where they come from, with our own analytics. No cookies, no tracking across sites. Kept: as counts.
Payments
Payments are made to Paddle.com, our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle receives your payment details and billing address; we never see your card. Paddle tells us what you bought and the email address you gave, so we can make and email your key. See Paddle's own privacy notice.
Who else handles data for us
- Hetzner Online (Germany): runs our server in the EU.
- Brevo (France): sends the sign-in and licence-key emails.
- Paddle.com (UK and Ireland): payments, VAT and receipts.
- Pushover (USA): notifies us when new feedback arrives, with its text.
We don't sell data, and we don't use it for advertising.
